An Analysis of Four-quark Energies in SU(2) Lattice Monte Carlo using the Flux-tube Symmetry

Energies of four-quark systems calculated by the static quenched SU(2) lattice Monte Carlo method are analyzed in 2 × 2 bases for square, rectangle, tilted rectangle, linear and quadrilateral geometry configurations and in 3 × 3 bases for a non-planar geometry configuration. For small interquark distances, a lattice effect is taken into account by considering perimeter dependent terms which are...

An Analysis of 4-quark Energies in Su(2) Lattice Monte Carlo

Energies of four-quark systems with the tetrahedral geometry measured by the static quenched SU(2) lattice monte carlo method are analyzed by parametrizing the gluon overlap factor in the form exp(−[bsEA+ √ bsFP]), where A and P are the area and perimeter defined mainly by the positions of the four quarks, bs is the string constant in the 2-quark potentials and E,F are constants.

This contribution – a continuation of the work in refs.[1]-[4] – reports on recent developments in the calculation and understanding of 4-quark energies generated using lattice Monte Carlo techniques. In refs.[3,4] – the binding energies of four quarks in various geometries (e.g. at the corners of a rectangle or on a straight line) were calculated in static-quenched-SU(2) on a lattice 16 3 × 32...

Lattice-geometry effects in garnet solid electrolytes: a lattice-gas Monte Carlo simulation study

Ionic transport in solid electrolytes can often be approximated as ions performing a sequence of hops between distinct lattice sites. If these hops are uncorrelated, quantitative relationships can be derived that connect microscopic hopping rates to macroscopic transport coefficients; i.e. tracer diffusion coefficients and ionic conductivities. In real materials, hops are uncorrelated only in t...

Performance comparison of four commercial GE discovery PET/CT scanners: A monte carlo study using GATE

Combined PET/CT scanners now play a major role in medicine for in vivo imaging in oncology, cardiology, neurology, and psychiatry. As the performance of a scanner depends not only on the scintillating material but also on the scanner design, with regards to the advent of newer scanners, there is a need to optimize acquisition protocols as well as to compare scanner ...
